Berryfields Crossing is a new community-focused commercial development centred around a luxury multi-screen cinema and casual dining, currently under construction in Richmond West, in the Nelson Tasman region. Stage 1 works, which include the cinema and food & beverage offerings, have commenced and are due for completion in 2022.
Berryfields Crossing is on a 5.53ha site located approximately 1km northwest from the Richmond CBD, surrounded by the Richmond West residential area and the unique Waimea Inlet.
Richmond West is forecast to accommodate over 1,200 new homes with an estimated population of 4,000 people, targeting families, by 2025. There is also a new $130 million lifestyle village which will provide an additional 270 high-end retirement dwellings to the adjacent area. These new developments will bring the core catchment to more than 21,000 people and over 7,600 households.
